The Gargano coastline is lined by enchanting bays. The coves closest to Petra Maris B&B can be reached on foot or by bike: the bay of Manacore del Gargano; reached by a scenic road that winds through fragrant pines and, the Bay of Sfinale that enchants with its Saracen tower and nature, that surrounds the bay as in a postcard. From the bay of Sfinale, boat tours depart daily to visit the wonderful caves of the Gargano coast.

For fans of extreme sports such as kite surfing or windsurfing, less than 4 km from Petra Maris B&B are two bays perfect for practising water sports.
The Spiaggia Lunga bay and the Chianca island, are two bays exposed to all winds, perfect for the North-westerly, Mistral, and South-easterly, Scirocco winds.
For lovers of uncontaminated nature just 15 minutes by car you reach the spectacular Umbrian forest, a UNESCO heritage site. In the forest, you can go for walks along the lake or take part in organised excursions like jeep safari, ATV tours or tracking.
 
Petra Maris B&B reception organises private excursions on a Yacht with skipper and packed lunch on board for up to 10 people for the Tremiti Islands; or tours of the coastline to see and learn of the many sea caves, each with their own names and stories.
